Analytics

Integrating Light uses Google Analytics to count visits and see how the site is used. When you visit, your browser loads Google's analytics script, which sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) and sends Google the pages you view, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (derived from your IP address; Google Analytics doesn't log or store IP addresses). It also sends how you use the pages: which links, buttons and controls you use, how far you scroll and which sections you reach, how quickly pages load, any script errors, and whether your device prefers dark mode, reduced motion or touch. Never anything you type, and never what you copy — only that something was copied. What comes back are aggregate reports: how many visitors, which pages and features, where traffic comes from.

Google signals and advertising features are turned off, so this isn't linked to Google accounts or used for ads. The data is kept for 14 months, then deleted. It isn't sold or shared with anyone else.

Opting out

Turn analytics off for this browser — it's remembered in your browser's local storage, and Google's script isn't even loaded after that ( turn it back on). Or block cookies for this site, use a content blocker, or install Google's opt-out add-on — the site works the same either way.

Everything else

This site sets no other cookies. There is no other tracking and no advertising. Like most web servers, the servers that host this site may keep standard access logs (such as IP address and time of request) for operation and security.
